This week's Journal Argus shows councillor Gerry Teahen smiling ear to ear getting his photo taken at Comerica Park. Of course at council meetings when he gives away $800,000 of taxpayer money to his son's Hall of Fame its for the good of St Marys not because Gerry Teahen is a baseball nut.
Then there's Rob Edney? Would the baseball Hall of Fame be putting on his concert every year if he wasn't on council giving away cash.
The hall of fame wont get $800,000. The Toronto fundraiser's cut is 30% so he will be getting $240,000 and the academy building $560,000. The fundraiser would be earning his 30% if he was bringing in new money. What were the local council thinking? They need someone from Toronto to tell them how to spend on a local project?
